Indeed, Dan’s first multiple track release is featuring six pieces - not to forget the four additional remixes - which undoubtedly go very well together, and which at the end of the day make this set of tracks feel like a neat little debut album.
Dan is a real minimalist, somewhere inbetween electronica classicism and minimal house. Hardly to imagine that you could strip down a rhythm more efficiently down to its very basic sound bits and bytes, while being hopelessly in love with innocent melodies.

Choenyi kicks off his Yuki Yaki debut with a 6-track EP. This is his third appearance after the remix on YkYk008 and his compilation track on YkYk005.
He has created cold and dark tracks oscillating between Minimal Techno and Soundscapes. Profound beats are playing a main part in the conception of the tracks. The swinging Doma Fourth and the stomping hymn Triling can be located near Dance floor music. Spheric helicopter flights through a dark night.
Choenyi’s other issue is Dub. He has made it up of little, reduced reverb-rooms and the selective use of delays. No element is being pushed in front and klicking drums leave a lot of room for the dark dub of choenyi.
The remixers took a certain element of the track and moved it in to the fore. Lao and Nicolas Aguero aka Sumergido pushes Pollen more into the classical Dub scheme. Daniel Carew changed Doma Fourth into a dreamy and happy tune. Manziping puts some extra funk to Mime Dub, making it ready for peaktime dance floor.
Last but not least Dr. Nojoke use samples form “Pollen”, “Taurean Storm”, “Tri Ling” and “Monophase” to create his “Defervescence” extract.

Having the Andes mountains as natural reverberation device it’s no surprise that Alisu (= girl) and Rolancho (= boy) spend a good deal of time to blend ravine-deep textures with intense rhythms - playing hide and seek somewhere in the grey urban area between minimal techno and glitchy experimentalism.
Get caught by the beat, take a breath and back-pedal its meaning in your own neuro patterns, get caught again, and so on and so forth.
The concept of Manzping’s first EP for Yuki Yaki - after numerous releases and compilations for Chilean netlabels - is a refreshing dive into a sea of blue hypnosis, a splendid ride between captivating beat pulses, sparkling electric discharges and floating ambient carpets. This is a taste of South America that will wipe off even the most flagrant omen of winter depressions in these days.

Who doesn’t like the summer? . “Levemente” by Sumergido reminds us of the warm season. The four relaxed electro tracks of the EP range between House and Dub, always light and a little playful.
You just notice that the summer of Buenos Aires never ends. Apart from Sumergido’s tracks you’ll find remixes by Glander and Scaff.

Emmerichk’s music is a wilful mix of sound carpets, clicks-and-cuts and rhythmical micro-structures. Many tracks also adress dancefloor audience as minimal an dub techno elements are involved in these songs.
Emmerichk’s Nebadon EP on Yuki Yaki offers Minimal House tunes with an edge. Crispy clicks and cuts garnish warm floating chords at cosy minor over a well composed layer of hypnotically pounding rhythms - never to fast to spoil the relaxed scenery.
And it is a real pity that all delightful listening has to end after only six tracks. Frequent use of the Repeat button is highly recommended.
