Nearly three years after the release of indisguise (unfound04), philadelphia’s tleilaxu makes a refreshing comeback with a new ep that was a long time in the making. On sleepercel, you get a whopping six tracks – four originals and two remixes.

Tleilaxu’s tracks delve blissfully into deep and heady terrain – meanwhile sustaining a groove that gently merges idm-ish experimentalism, microhouse and dub. Each tune coincides brilliantly with any morning sunrise – carved with meticulous precision, organic vigor, and doused with self-made field recordings, chopped-up voices, atmospheric melodies, subby basslines, clicky percussion, cleansing reverbs and mesmerizing delays – all the while, maintaining a minimal ambiance while being lushly dense at the same time.

You also get a slow and twisted minimal house remix courtesy of marseille’s sam & dave & lowran, plus a deep and groovy tech-house rework by london’s marc ashken of leftroom fame. So go on! Taste the rising sun while your head bobbles in outer space.

Style: minimal tech

First it was buenos aires. Then it was marseille. This time, unfoundsound adds a third chapter to the “location series” with melbourne macropus ep – a compilation of artists hailing from melbourne, australia.

The idea transpired while sean o’neal (a.k.a. Someone else) was touring around australia in june/july 2007. Sean quickly discovered that australia – particularly melbourne – has an intelligent and thriving underground techno scene that is deeply on the rise. And because the melbourne scene is tight-knit and intimate, the city’s dope output of minimal goodness seems to be fairly unknown in other parts of the world.

But much of melbourne’s bomb-ass techno certainly deserves worldwide awareness. Thus, unfoundsound presents six tracks of druggy, groovy, head-numbing chooons courtesy of markojux, stuart mckeown, lance harrison, paul agius and craig mcwhinney. Yeah, y’all! Aussie folk in da house!

01.paul agius - three steamed dim sims

04.lance harrison - vegemite on toast

greenbeam & leon - empty city ep (unfound033)

Greenbeam & leon are two young fellas from georgia known for vivacious dj performances and twisted techno tunes. After barem played in their hometown of tbilisi, he became friends with the duo. He then suggested to the rest of the unfoundsound crew that greenbeam & leon could offer a nice release for the label.

And because their music is simply dope-ass, the decision was simple. On empty city ep, you get four tracks of psychedelic, party-pumpin’ jammy-jams ranging from dubby noodle-ism to funked-up ticka-ticka-ticka good-times!, doused with cleverly subtle sound-play and frolicsome surprises.

So bounce, bounce, y’all! Submerge your anxiety-ridden head and pleasantly malnutritioned body into the techno sounds of greenbeam & leon!

Unfoundsound presents the second ep from argentina’s omar salgado.

This time around, you get some deep, clicky tunes that are deliciously minimal. Slightly different than his debut release on unfoundsound, obelysko offers four heady tracks with a touch of tripped-out chaos beneath the groovy rhythms.

Each track is cleverly stripped-down and ripe for djs. Maybe you don’t see Omar Salgado touring around the world very much, but he is indeed a special producer for our time

Tel aviv’s dot is one of very few people making quality minimal techno in israel. He clearly has a knack for producing fresh tracks that djs can not resist. You might already know him from the mike & dot duo of sub static fame.

On closing time ep, dot offers five tracks that are tastefully stripped-down, elegantly dark and mind-numbingly powerful.

Each track drives with playful synthetic sound manipulation, mesmerizing repetition, catchy breakdowns, crowd-pleasing effects and a graceful undercurrent of deepness. Grab these tunes now, and play and.

Ben Parris - English Dictionary Ep (unfound028)

NetLabel: www.unfoundsoundrecords.com
Archive.org: details
Style: minimal tech

Following up his two foundsound eps, foundsound’s own ben parris drops his debut net release on unfoundsound, titled english dictionary ep — a five-track masterpiece featuring remixes by seph and seth troxler feat. John Clees.

The ep commences with “desktop willage” — a deep, quirky, sub-bassy afterhours gem with playful field recordings and a solid groove. Then you get “breakfast for thorialanus” — a clunky, unsettling collage with a chugging groove fueled by goofy sine waves and gritty found sounds that’ll drive your dancing body into psychotropic oblivion.

Thirdly, you get “chris needs a nickname” — a minimal dancefloor burner that slowly builds as the track progresses, while boinking with circus-like quirkiness, shuffly percussion, and a Splattering mess of found sounds and effects. Then detroit’s seth troxler alongside john clees of tesh club fame transform “breakfast for thorialanus” into a deep, heady, gut-wrenching afterhours number fueled by a low, sinister speaking voice, profound synth-sweeps, and a shuffly, gentle groove.

The ep ends with a rework of “chris needs a nickname” courtesy of seph from buenos aires — transforming it into a funky minimal breakbeat jammy-jam driven by water drop-like percussion, tasteful reverbs, an alluring breakdown and a wah-wah-wonderful electro-style bassline. Eat it all up, and never ever poop it out. Ever!

Unfoundsound presents another work of genius from argentina. After garnering much success with releases on labels like foundsound, unfoundsound, pariter, and now m_nus, barem returns with his second free digital release on unfoundsound.

Kleine vol. 2 features two original tracks (”sticky” and “the mirror”) which are both heady, tracky, delicately funky and tastefully minimal. Plus, unfoundsound’s pride and joy, omar salgado, delivers a deep, groovy, stripped-down rework of “sticky” for the hazy afterhours.

And rosario’s jorge savoretti remixes “undo” — a track from barem’s unfound09 release — elegantly transforming it into a club-storming minimal epic. Yeah, we love argentineans.

Cesare Vs Disorder - Inaccurate Ep (unfound024)

NetLabel: www.unfoundsoundrecords.com
Archive.org: unfound24
Style: minimal tech

Unfoundsound presents cesare vs disorder — an italian dj/producer currently based in london while co-running the mean label. Inaccurate ep offers four minimal throbbers that gurgle, glide and suck you dry within a watered-down mesh of gawky disarray and off-kilter voices.

“fisherman” toys with your head through gut-wrenching pitched-down voices, a watery atmosphere, impish reverbs, a warm-rolling bass, and the ideal groove for any minimal dj at an afterhours jammy-jam.

On “orhuc”, minimalism becomes a peculiar playground with a simplistically alluring beat, a detuned sitar, playful effects, and an altogether wily arrangement.

“around vrzina” is a deep head-trip with gritty percussion, awkwardly pitched voices, perlon-esque funk and a driving groove.

“clowns” is downright quirky and subterranean — crafted with bouncing oddities, synthesized bubbly-ness and a snappy groove.

If you are a cool minimal hipster, then you will adore cesare vs disorder. Do you wanna be minimal and cool? Yeah, of course you do!.
