Can this still be considered minimal? Pablo Akaros’ drums are continuing to march forward as relentlessly as a bodybuilder pumping 300 pound irons, but his bass grooves are more flexible and rubbery than ever.

“Reusado” sounds like a microwave transmitter dancing with a steamtrain, “Vertebral” sails ghost ship-like through seas of digital madness and “Mclass” is house trying to be techno trying to be dub trying to be ambient trying to be acid – and ending up as all in one.

Drei Trittbretter zum Jubilõum. Sr.Click und Stefan Tretau sind beide f³r feinsten Minimal Tech House bekannt und selbstverstõndlich kommt genau solcher auch wieder dabei raus, wenn letzterer sich als Litze Rakuten “Diseases” vornimmt.

Inge Heiz hingegen ist bekanntlich weniger fein und noch weniger minimal. Logischerweise mutiert Raytracers “Edge” in Heizens remixenden Hõnden zu einem Monster, genauer: zu einem Acid-Ungeheuer.

Dusty wiederum macht das genaue Gegenteil und radiert alle Acid-Elemente aus Pablo Akaros’ “Tob Y Yo Torcido”.

Popkans zweite scheibe auf intoxik beginnt mit dem darken minitechrocker “screen treatment”, welcher völlig bedingungslos nach vorne geht.

“Almost gone” überholt den opener dann sogar noch locker von rechts und nimmt den tanzmuskeln jede hoffnung auf eine verschnaufpause. Wer danach nicht mehr kann, wird sich über das abschließende stück schmusetechno freuen.

Für eine afterhour dürfte “worst case” alles andere als den worst case darstellen. Bei solchen tunes fläzt man sich gerne mit einem glas rotwein im sofa und läßt den technotag gemütlich ausklingen. Irgendwie sweet und garantiert deep.

Die Schwingsultaninen - entschuffelt und neu aufgemischt. Das lief ungefähr so: Ein Samplepack wird rumgeschickt, drei Artists mischen den Stoff neu zusammen, wirbeln dabei auch die Buchstaben des Titels durcheinander, Harthorst steuert ein dezentes Weihnachtsmotiv bei und fertig ist der Remixrelease: Bikini Machine erfinden das Tanzmittel “Schwungseltaninin”.

Groove in Reinform. Raytracer mixt sich ein “Wingschlantesinun” und zu guter Letzt dreht dann noch Kehlnaht völlig durch, zerschreddet das Original bis zur Unkenntlichkeit und produziert nie gehörte “Taningschwulsinen”.

Dustys Tracks zeichnen sich durch einen immens hohen Sägezahnfaktor und loopige Lässigkeit aus. Die Loops werden von ihm gnadenlos bis an den Rand des Tooligen getrieben, um kurz vor Tool doch noch ins Break geschickt zu werden, wo sie einmal tief Luft holen dürfen, um schließlich auf eine rasante Abfahrt geschickt zu werden.

Man könnte auch sagen: Mit Wumms wird die Technosäge angeschmissen. Vorsicht, nicht für zarte Gemüter geeignet!.
