Con la referencia Flm026 volvemos al formato E.p tras la publicación de nuestro varios artistas Flm025 ‘Laboratorio Demensional’, el cual ha suscitado gran interés no solo por la amplia variedad de registros estilísticos sino también por la calidad de su contenido. Desde Las palmas de Gran Canaria y de la mano de su creador Alex Medina nos llega este Another Day in Mumbai E.p. Alex en su ascendente carrera como productor ha firmado trabajos para sellos como: Sinergy, Miniatura, Unlock, Minisketch, +0lab, Alertha o Nulogic.

En Ambivaliente encontramos una pulsión hipnótica que nos sugiere una actualización contemporánea del chicago tech de antaño. Magistralmente aderezada en todas sus capas destacan sus líneas de bajo, un vocal de marcado carácter underground, sus tonalidades metálicas, así como una insinuante programación acid. Con Pruella, segundo corte del E.p, Alex Medina mantiene algunas de las señas de identidad antes reseñadas pero cediendo el protagonismo en esta ocasión a una trompeta sintética que personaliza y llena de sensualidad en las dosis justas la composición final.

Dos remixes del genial Pruella a cargo de los Griegos Effections y el sevillano The Machinist completan este Flm026. Los primeros disfrutan de lo lindo remezclando tan magna obra incidiendo en la sutileza y profundidad en clave deep house. Por otro lado The Machinist hace una reinterpretación más minimalista acercándola al techno con una reprogramación donde enriquece lo esencial de su planteamiento con sus cuidados arreglos y su personal sonido.

It is really beautiful to conciously attend the birth of any piece of communitary art if you are asked to become part of it. Even more if the one who asks you is devoted to a mayor project truly important, a part of a whole which is called Flumo, something much more important of what we think. Generous is this “Dimensional Laboratory” as it is full of superb tracks characterized -to me, quite- by heterogeneity.

Each of the tracks is on its own, and slowly they play, talk, process and participate of a lot of styles, textures and harmonies. Perfect for listening to it in just one go, as you never got tired of its lexical/electronic richness together with its familiar phonetics. Thus, is quite certain that this test tube #25 of multi-style alchemy produced by so different artists will allow us to participate of so many dimensions as number of tracks are included.

Laboratorio Dimensional is a valuable electronic compilation evoking such good emotions! It is quite probable that this reference turns into a hit essential to Flumo history, as in my opinion reaches a delicate maturity full of the contemporaneity we need, and all this thanks to a powerful engine: PASSION

From Budapest comes this Beat a Carpet!, by Hungarian Daniel Pataki aka Pakt, his first appearance in Flumo eds. Pakt started his career as musician in 1998 with a radio show which meant his entrance in the electronic music circles in Hungary. In his stylish evolution Daniel has gone through different stages of the club electro as techno, breakbeat or house.

In this 4 tracks E.p we find a revelatory exhibition of his ways with minimal. His compositions practically lack of melodic lines, the emphasis lying on in rhythm bases sometimes house pulsed, sometimes technoid. The samples completing his productions appear marking in its contrasts a special groove which creates a hypnotic atmosphere that suits perfectly the dancefloor. In this number we also find a version of one of his tracks by V.Rotz. This Dj shows his personal imprint while creating a cool remix, resulting from simple original elements.

Also one of the tracks has been remixed by V.Rotz who shows us all his personality one more time that, results in an excited new version taking all the simple elements of the original to produce this vibrant remixed. To complete all the session we would like to welcome to Mapinz who in an excellent manner has taken all the eastern influences to create a robotic atmosphere that is a delight.

Aquarell is a project formed by Markus Newton and Christian Quast, the first of the working with Salto recordings, while Christian has already edited tracks and remixes for such interesting labels as Safari Electronique, Kickboxer, Ironbox, Obsolete or Broque.

From their general headquarters in Hamburg, they present us with this Acces Road E.P.. A rough way on its textures, with a percussion like leitmotiv and hectic, is what we find first in OFF Road. In Amelie Road, second track of the E.p. they offer a warmer pace in a deep jazz minimal tone with a meticulously cared elegance, going further towards the Avant garde.

This E.p is finished with three remixes from Amelie Road signed by Electric Arrow, and the already well known for this label, El TxefA and Omar Salgado. Electric Arrow replays the original with a minimal house where he emphasizes his personalization of the melody to which he gives main attention.

Omar Salgado in his fascinating remix, gets us closer to his deep minimal universe where dub and the atmospheric textures are merged with mastery. And last, El Txef A brings us a genious interpretation where he reduce elements to give it a softer rythm and to also to add his own melodic treatment.

As a finishing touch the present of our transatlantic we have the ultimate TripMix with restless feelings and a marked dynamic strain, signed by brilliant Andres Zacco.

Ludwig Coenen is a Dj and producer born in Frankfurt. As a Dj he has work in remarkable clubs in his home town, as well as in Berlin.

His sets appear monthly in the X-Fade DJ Night in Radio X, in Frankfurt. Since 2003 he also composes and writes on musical tendencies and dvds for DE:BUG magazine. As a producer he has undergo different collaborations for Highgrade and Senator labels.

A new track will appear soon in a compilation of the label Inmigrant, and he will have his new E.p. released by Senator. In all this trip we also find his productions for Pentagonik NetLabel.

In this Aspect Ratio E.p., his debut in Flumo, Ludgiw Coenen preserves his trend among house and techno as a stylistic base.

His evocative melodic constructions always contrast his simple but precious drummings and hypnotic low lines and the evolutive constructive cadence that create altogether the delicious strain, Frankfurt artist’s way.

Aspect Ratio ends with a JacksonBlack’s remix of the track that gives tittle to the E.p. Jxnblk dissects Aspect Ratio to provide it with new shades and arrangements closed to the American.
