Everyone has their own sound, and we would like to present to you the sound of Arturo Garces. Thick shuffled rhythms and deep heavy grooves can be heard on every track.
The only exception to that is “Expanding Time” which offers a smooth interlude between the first and second halves of the release.
Of course, words never do any justice to the music, so take a listen for yourself…we’re sure you’ll dig on it.

After taking some time to work on other projects and launching the netlabel Diggarama, bLURiX is back again for another release here on DoBox Recordings.
“Velvetine” has special meaning to bLURiX. It was originally going to be release on a different label, but since the label wanted bLURiX to alter his original before they would release it he decided to take it elsewhere where he could present this music the way it was intended to be heard.
We here at DoBox understand this, and are proud to present the original “Velvetine” to you. Enjoy!.

The duo of Dip present us with a fine release of Techno and Tech-House titled “Illusions”. Listening to these trax really take the listener on a journey. One could easily imagine a sun-soaked scene with a dj playing them next to a swimming pool or at the beach.
But it’s also not hard to visualize a night-time club scene with these trax pumping from the wall of speakers. No matter which scene you prefer (even if it’s none of the above), you’ll be sure to enjoy these grooves.

Kickin’ it with a mix of tricky electronics and a little old-school flavor, these guys present us with a release of funky musical stories.
“Apartment Complex” and “Cardboard Boxing” move your body with a hint of electro and æ80 synth grooves. “Contained” and “Ready To Move” are just as funky, but take on a more cereberal sound.
House-heads, Tech-heads and B-Boys alike should find themselves enjoying this one. Cover art by Dajis Systems.

Those of you familiar with the 12? vinyl releases by The Rhythmist on Resource Records back in 1999 and 2000 (and those who arent) will be glad to hear that there were more trax recorded during those sessions that were never eleasedàuntil now.
We present to you more sounds from his infamous Bluelight District studio from a time when not many computers had enough CPU power to run lots of soft-synths. Hardware was still the name of the game, and as you will soon hear, he knew how to play the game well

Do not be misled by the title of this release. Rafael Marinelli (aka Lektrono) is definitely experienced in the art of making music, and this release is proof.
Skittery breakbeat-ish styles combined with IDM sensibilities is one way to describe the first track, Respira. La Vaca Verde and the title track Novato follow it up with a more abstract, textured, and emotive sound. Unique and enjoyable.

bLURiX has a sound that would make a great fit as a soundtrack for a science fiction film, but would also make martians (and humans) dance without a doubt.
This release blends imaginitive sounds and deep thoughts with the fun of the dancefloor. If you like old-school jack, electro beats, or just like good electronic music you will definitely like The Unity of Three.

FLOPs is a common benchmark measurement for rating the processing power of a computer.
With about five GigaFLOPS worth of CPU, The Rhythmist has generated four trax of electronic funkiness.
Quirky, deep and minimal grooves are what this release is all about, not to mention ‘Seg’ and ‘16th & Curtis’ offer a sneak peak of his progress in VSTi plug-in development.
