We travel again to Lisbon and meet Ricardo Mestre, a so far undiscovered musician and graphic artist, who immediately carries us into his world full of playful melodies.

Thereby he uses only a minimum of technology, but produces nevertheless such beautiful intuitive musical landscapes, that it does not really matter if they work on a dance floor or not. The love lies in the details. And this brings up joy, happiness and reverie. Ricardo, who is also one of the resident artists of the Lisbon ” Noite CDR”, describes his music simply by the colours grey, pink and blue. We think, one could interpret much much more into it. Or, better yet, one could simply lay back and listen to it.

With this EP we are saying goodbye for the summer and will come back on September 1st. 2008, after an organizational relocation break. We wish you only the best up till then!.

Style: technohouse

It was time Mr. Granlab comes back to continue his celebrated “Leuchtfeuer EP” with fresh music and dance energy. He uses oldschool techno rhythms with modern pop appeal in the right mixture. He jumps between the styles, stomps ahead or plays guitar - all together in a soft, but never hopeless melancholy.

The Munich based guy is one of the Broque.de founders. He is responsable for all technical topics and also the man behind the mastering. Granlab is well-known by his releases on the R.A.N.D.-label 3b, Polyfon and also as a frequently surfaced remixer.

“Butterfly and Eskimo” is one of the most frequented tracks from our compilation “Spätsommerkollektion”. Many other artists were inspired by these sounds and produced their own versions. We proudly present a selection of remixes and also the properly video of the original track made by nootoon.

Plus1 from Saxonia starts with a dubby oldschool-version and Volker Selzner continues a little bit faster. Gunne shows us his “Lebensfreude” with a downbeat-piano, while the “Schallschnelle” Jamy Wing from Jena changes into minimal-percussive. Legoego, aka Phonout & Dataman unpack their disco balls and Cie from Cologne makes a pop-technotrack.

As next we listen to industrial and experimental Elektro of Pork4, and also a break-version of Peedge. Kassel based Norman produced 2 progressive remixes and Freund der Familie culminate in a Dubstep-version. Feedback here? Have fun!

The time since the founding of Broque to now was too short and it happened a lot - so we are very proud to celebrate the 50th release in all of the house of Broque.

The artist behind this EP is Max Cavalerra from Munich of course. Max is already well-known for the old-established Broque-listener, because he had many great releases here. Nonetheless it’s interesting to follow the further development of the music and his career.

So we are pleased with the next 50 releases, we like to make for a very nice audience like you.

Sqware are Yannick and Jean-Baptiste from Strasbourg and Paris. The two guys work together by sending files to each other, because they have to overcome the geographic separation of their hometowns and when they move to different cities like Brussels and now Auckland.

Both of them have a love for melancholic melodies and dark atmospheres. Their sounds include a great range of styles, like techno, pop and breakbeat. You can also experience influences like jazz, hip hop and movie soundtracks.

And after 2 years of hard work besides Djing and studying, Broque.de proudly presents their first EP.

In the late summer it is generally usual to enjoy the last sunbeams of the afternoon, to remember the experiences of the past summer in a round with friends and maybe let the one or the other photo pass.

We from Broque.de were also away during the hot months and brought to you nice sounds from all world: Together with Miki Parkinson from the Canadian Ottawa we visited Atesh K, an old acquaintance from Cyprus. In Lipsia Marlow & Claudia Nehls waited for us and treated us with an exclusive version of their last record on Moon Harbour track which is not available on vinyl. The choice citizens of Berlin, Pupkulies & Rebecca gave us an exclusive sample of their new album on Normoton and moved on to a gig of ggMikesh.

Together with the polyfon-guy TomTomGroove we drove to Erfurt and met with More Places, a project of Less with the voice of Zweileen. In the proximity of Munich we found Mr. Granlab, and moved on to Stefan Tretau in Mühlheim. With Internal Sync from Lisbon we went on to the Hörspielmusik-man Norman to Kassel.

Karmarouge Act Max Cavalerra also enjoyed playing sometimes with Alessandro Crimi from St.Gallen, so that it is not that long until we reached Lucy and Rone in Paris. Francis is by the way a project of Jonny, Schmeisser and Der Tietz from Kassel.

Exclusively also the Rerelease of Jäger 90 from the Munich based label Pastamusik, escorted by the thuringian R.A.N.D. - and Playhouse-musician Lowtec, whose well-known Track we are offering now as mp3. And last but not least in Hamburg we joined the Einmusik-man Pelle Buys and Nils Hoffmann.

It would be best if you would listen to the compilation in sequence. Be happy about the new music quality in 256 kbps. Consider please also our vinyl edition.

granlab - leuchtfeuer ep (brq032)

NetLabel: www.broque.de

Style: tech-house, house

Granlab is one of the 2 Broque.de-makers and has the name Technical Director written on his door. This guy from Thuringia lives in the proximity of Munich and sometimes also plays guitar, beside his Technomachines.

And this is how one could listen to his music till now, on the R.A.N.D.-Label 3b, as well as on Bavarian Open Source, Polyfon and of course on Broque.de. It is extremely various and can move informally between Ambient, Indietronic, House and Techno. His passion however lies in the song arrangement and the certain pop element in the middle of old-school techno structures.

Have fun and if you like to give us feedback - just do it!

Style: minimal house, tech-house

With Volker Selzner we present you a further new artist on Broque.de! He lived in Cologne for a long time, but he is actually in Munich at home.

Volker performs his live acts with body and soul, in order to bring the people to rock according to his slogan “rhythm and strength”. So far he released on Sounds Good Records and besides this, he’s busy working as a graphic designer.

He likes working with melodies, and let them play together. His music precedes, without being importunate. As a bonus and first common project, after which there will be hopefully some others following, Granlab treats us with a remix.

NetLabel: www.broque.de

Style: minimal house, minimal deep

Our newest artist comes originally from a beautiful green country, one which had been occupied centuries ago by wild hordes, which kept themselves alive by drinking a yellowish-glittering charmed mix.

He reveals the musical variety of its self-sacrificing existence to the world. An existence which he dedicated to the poor and weak ones. His name is only camouflage, in order to protect the light, which dark forces demand from him.

Do not be afraid to turn his music loud. There is no danger.

Simultaneously to the Afterhuettn-record you’ll also get other interesting versions of the title track, by the Swiss Alessandro Crimi, for free Download.

Hereby he succeeded in creating a multicolored selection, which moves in fine gradations between tenderly minimal and deep technoid. Everything is danceable, playful and brings up the feeling of anticipation regarding the next alpine hut - party, which will bring once again old and new Oder auf Brot - people together.

Feedback would be great, as always and you will have hopefully lots of fun while listening to them.

We like to play with words, to mix existing words and create new ones from them. Some existed already, some just sound familiar, others gain a completely new meaning.

Under Pasture (still better than “fust”…) we want to present a small selection of past releases, which different artists selected for reworks. In a similar manner, new created tracks sound familiar, but still, they are very different.

NetLabel: www.broque.de

Style: tech-house, progressive house, trance

This time, Max presents us a high-summer EP somewhere between Techno, Dub and Trance. The Electric Delicate resident, about whom one must say no longer very much at Broque.de, has just began his own new chain of events “Spectrum - Design Techno Music” in Munich’s Garden Club. He gets regularly support from interesting names in this matter. Likewise we would like to point out at his present vinyl on MB Selektion and Broque.de!

Enjoy the summer, party and if you have something to say, then do this for example here in the feedback board.
