After a little summer break 31337 records is back with a smashing minimal techno release from Topper including remixes made by Sebastian Koch and 0×7f!.
“Topper grew up in Turin (IT) surrounded by substances and tunes typical of a hippie-kind of environment. Jefferson Airplane, Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd were his milk. His dad, the “hippie”, had a huge influence on him, and introduced his curious kid into the magic of music and psychedelic culture. That’s the reason why he felt like he was born for music!.
Rapidly he got in touch with more “minimal” sounds and started djing. The big shift occurred during the summer of 2005: right after taking his high-school diploma he moved to Berlin. It took some months to get into the scene, but by the end of 2005 he joined the KLANGSUCHT crew, playing at numerous underground parties, open-airs, afterhours and so on…”
After a very long delay, 31337 is happy to finally present you “Contrary smile”!. The EP starts of with two straight club tracks, the first beeing “nilla pizzis suicide” which is a dark themed techno track with a touch of glitch. The second track “Lucio dallas cowboys” got a lot of drive and ends in psychedelic pads and textures. Then we have 2 awesome remixes of “nilla pizzis suicide” by the Label Management 0×7f and Sebastian Koch! .

We are proud to present you our latest release from DJ Lab one of Copenhagens top DJ’s!- Because of the great competitiveness in his city, Anders Brøndum aka DJ Lab has built a high standard of quality for his sets and prooves technical skills in his own productions which he already put out on labels such as echocord or tic tac toe.
Lab’s style took off as straight up banging minimalism but has developed considerably over the years. Today, his arsenal ranges from Detroit techno over trancey Cologne’ism to minimal house and Dub. As long as it’s quality, it’s playable.
From 1998-2000 he was a regular name in the Roskilde Festival lineup – playing for thousands and thousands of ravers at one of Europe’s largest music festivals.
By 2000 his credentials had brought him a monthly residence on the National Radio of Denmark. From 2004 and onwards, he’s upheld a residence at Copenhagen’s largest club, Vega – and since its opening in January 2005, internationally respected electronic club Culture Box has put Lab on the lineup numerous times.
The 30 something ep is packed with 3 beautiful Dub tracks starting off with “Libra” which was the favorite track of all of us including sean o’neil (someone else) on this ep, followed by “Spookers Dub” which is indeed a little spooky, but really unique and funky. The last track called “third shift” is very hypnotic and is more club oriented than the other tracks. all in all a great ep for everyone who is into minimal and dub!

The new year starts off with a nice release by our man from georgia - EKE ! His last ep “Hospital” already received great feedback and we think that his newest tracks on the “Disorder” Ep are just as good!.
He simply got a feeling for pushing minimal techno, which reflects in his own tracks and dj sets! No need for leads or complex melodies, just lots of bass, clicks and snaps, wrapped into dark textures or funky bleeps.
This young talent is very productive, so you can expect more of him beeing released very soon!.

Today we proudly present our newest release from Nutownproject - the Data Swap Ep including Xentrix Remixes! We probably dont have to tell you much about these awesome artists from Belgium.
Nutownproject has been showing his talent on various releases such as on Einmaleins or Resopal. Xentrix is known for his own label Kroma and played on various events as DJ such as I Love Techno. So in our opinion, their work basicially speaks for themselves!
The ep starts off with an rocking techno track, followed by two great remixes made by Xentrix. All of these tracks are built for the dancefloor and might turn techno heads into screaming dancing machines. If you love techno, thisone is for you!

After all this recent trouble, we proudly present our newest release, the EKE - Hospital EP !
This very promissing young man from Georgia produces awesome tracks straight for the dancefloor. His deep sub-bass lines, glitchy sounds and textures will surely motivate even the lazy party people.
Also featured on this release - Greenbeam and Leon who did the track “Hospital” together with EKE. This tune will get the crowd moving, thats for sure!

Munich/Berlin, Germany, May 23, 2007: The young Netlabel 31337 Records is releasing its first Various Artists compilation today on their Website http://www.31337records.com Featuring such great artists as Someone Else, Katzo, Sebastian Herre, Mike Wall, DEN, 0×7f, Sebastian Koch and many more.
The compilation is split into two parts of which the first one is more club oriented - pounding and very subtle minimal techno -, while the second part is perfect chill-out material.
This collection of tunes is not your average Netlabel release but a promising start for a young, fresh and exciting label.
31337 Records was founded in early 2007 by Stefan Klaas, Sebastian Koch and Philip Steger. They used their years of experience in the club scene, both as artists and part of the crowd, and their passion for minimalistic music to create an outstanding new label in a short period of time. The result is an awesome mix of floor filling minimal techno and deep melodic tracks with a great selection of international artist.
Be sure to check this one out, it is well worth your time!
