Our next release is from the man we call Twin Tower Connection, and is entitled; “Electronic Rocka”. Straight out of Zweibrücken, Germany; T.T.C. is always digging deep into the world of experimentation. This release falls somewhere inbetween electro-house, glitch, and minimal techno.

However, with a style smililar to no one. Bass-heavy, hard, and concrete at times, while scupting melodic, electronic, dark tech-house style bass lines at others; this release helps define theversitility of our artists. T.T.C. is one of our most verstile artists, as we’ve heard tracks of many a different kind from his end. He is dedicated to being original.

We love it when artists think and create outsite the box, (still sounding musical ofcoarse, though we understand art is a subjective thing.) This release is filled with lots of layers, songs are sequenced in a pretty simplistic mannner, while dilivering wild, minimal like effects to add interest.

More danceable than some other tracks that Twin Tower has produced, but stilled has his signiture warped, off step-experimental funk sound. This is a release you have to check out. Very different from most and has lots of character. This electronic really does rocka!!!.

The latest dreiton.net release seems to be a bit different. The twins Lars and Gunnar Hemmerling, aka 4 creators (together with Telly Quin & Plastique from Einklang freier Frequenzen) and artists of the eintakt-label, present their stalker lp containing six minimal techno tracks for the peaktime.

With strong pressure the sounds are pushing over the dancefloor – techno in its best form! Each track of the release is unique and from high quality.

Acid-elements take turns with smooth expanses and abstract melodies - carried by perceptive but pumping beats. The idea, arrangement and mastering convinced me at once.

Everyone has their own sound, and we would like to present to you the sound of Arturo Garces. Thick shuffled rhythms and deep heavy grooves can be heard on every track.

The only exception to that is “Expanding Time” which offers a smooth interlude between the first and second halves of the release.

Of course, words never do any justice to the music, so take a listen for yourself…we’re sure you’ll dig on it.

There are few words for the good sound but there is no excuse for a bad sound. So where is SOMOS going?.

Tom Erdmann aka Popkan began his electronic expedition after witnessing Green Velvet and others at underground parties on Chicago?s southside

From there he picked up a part-time job to support his new addiction to electronic music production and sampling. With neighborhood friend Matthew, the two combined studios and began playing at raves and house parties all over the windy city. Eventually it became too much and the duo took their studios solo but continue to push each others music further.

With a new start, and a new vision; Popkan began from scratch. The objective: Keep the dancefloor moving in a way that’s fun and interesting. He went to work on his most recent sound ranging from deep dark techno to funky minimal house. In 2002, Tom gained local recognition with Meiotic Promotions.

From there he found himself playing live PAs at some of Chicago?s hottest underground clubs. His live sets are that of extreme enthusiasm for the music, hearing is only the half of it.

“Mishta” is DJ Thopa’s second release on the ON-Mix label.The follow up to Utopia Vanished, which was released on ON-Mix in January 2006.

Mishta is a dream. It’s a subconcious state of mind, an illusion. His music has flavours of tech house, techno, and even breaks in places. It’s dark, it’s intricate, and it builds and builds.

Current influences include Germany’s top labels, Kompakt and Poker Flat Recordings as well as Denmark’s Tic Tac Toe. But scratch the surface, and you’ll find something very different.

“I used to be a metal head,” he admits. “So I guess I was very influenced then by bands like Sepultura, Korn, and Pantera”. Enjoy this new release.
