After succesful “Durch Die Donau EP” Markus Masuhr comes back at Equaliteq with some new stuff.

This time his journey was much longer. His impressions was translated into fine minimal soundscapes and now we can enjoy music from “Chunky Bots From Novrosibirsk” as a final result.

The title underlines artist’s conceptual approach to music. Markus proves his skills as a producer and hopes this year can be even more succesfull than last one.

Dj dandi & ugo biography:
Our trip in house music began in far 1989 when our strong friendship and our common love for club electronic music became a passion: dj! In this way began our story of the double dj set: we work in pair like we are an only one dj, we put on the stereo two viniles for all the length of our live set, so we are able to unite our musical preferences to make our nights full of energy! In these years the evolution of Sound, rhythm, melody thrill us really a lot and make us listen and play different kind of music: acid house, techno detroit, underground, drum’n'bass, trip hop, progressive, deep house and electro techno.

The early equipment, early viniles, early nights in our zone’s club. Born as a sort of a game deeper and deeper our passion became a job, a job that brought us to work within djs and producers of national and international fame, and to co-operate with very important clubs like peter pan (riccione), ecu (rimini), pascia’ (riccione), classic club (rimini), les folies de pigalle (reggio emilia), prince (riccione), cocorico’ (riccione), matis (bologna), sophia (gabicce), wishclub afterhour (misano monte), cubadust storkino (milano marittima) and, of course, our favourite one: echoes liz music club (misano monte) where we are resident djs of the privè: cristal black.

After all these years of amusement, nights, afterhours, curiosity brought us to discover new ways, so we bought our first personal computer and sequencer and after two years, thanks to the collaboration of a great dj and producer (ricky montanari), we made our first single: ricky montanari presents dandi & ugo “beat conductor” (part 1 & 2) for the label “re vox” (ivano coppola a.r.), distributed from levelone. Thanks to the great results of this project we could meet and co-operate with artists like raymond barry (producer of electro house n.o.i.a., klein & mbo, funk revenge …) which whom we are co-operating nowaday.

We are also working with fabio carniel (multicolor records, dirty house, part one…), guido nemola (joyfull family), producers loaded and santorini,dj & great producer andrea bertolini (stereo seven plus label), dub recording label, luca de ponti (art director label), dj and producer timothy with his crew: the mood (steve and andy lee), dj and producer alex D’elia (looseheadz). Segunda referencia de “Systemton” en Inoquo, artista alemán que no aparecía en el sello desde hace un tiempo. Un ep enfocado en su totalidad para la pista de baile con un minimal tech, a veces, un tanto psicodélico en cuanto a sampleado, como es el caso de “focal point”, tema que abre el ep y que además trae su propio videoclip, una novedad en inoquo.

También destacar la importancia que el electro, mas o menos minimalista, tiene en este trabajo, y que no me esperaba encontrar, algo que me ha gustado. El video esta muy bien hecho, realmente si la idea era plasmar la música en imágenes… lo han conseguido, pero da que pensar que en una realidad minimal tech y con esa hiperactividad no habría problemas de sobrepeso jajaja. Quizás es esa la solución.

Bueno y dentro de poco una rel especial para conmemorar la veinteava referencia del sello que por lo que se también traerá sorpresas y promete bastante.

Presentamos el nuevo trabajo de Systemton. Cuatro nuevos temas con su estilo característico, a base de minimal techno percusivo e hipnótico. Presentamos también el primer video inoQuo.

“A tokamak is a toroidal (doughnut-shaped) magnetic plasma confinement device, the leading candidate for producing magnetic fusion energy. The term tokamak comes from the Russian words: “toroidalnaya”, “kamera”, and “magnitnaya”, which mean “toroidal, chamber, magnetic”. The last letter g was replaced by k to avoid analogy with the word magic. It was invented in the 1950s by Igor Yevgenyevich Tamm and Andrei Sakharov.”

“FUSION power offers the potential of an almost limitless source of energy for future generations but it also presents some formidable scientific and engineering challenges. It is called ‘fusion’ because it is based on fusing light nuclei such as hydrogen isotopes to release energy. The process is similar to that which powers the sun and other stars.”

One could wonder why someone should choose such a name. Well it is somehow both a political statement, as well as a good description of what the intentional sound and feel of this ep is, or should be. Somewhat subatomic, abstract but still full of energy. Yet some consider parts of this ep rather mad and irrational, so if you are under medication of any psychotropic kind i advice you: do not turn the lights out and do not look sixty seconds into the sun (neither i advice the use of the drill pointed at your head). For those kind of people who are boozed and/or smashed anyway: just dance on!.

(As a political statement ´tokamak´ stands for the urgency of a new world-wide energy policy. And YES i mean that.)

D.A.T.A. is proud to present the third EP, “Las Brisas”, from one of the most promising electronic producers from latin america: Paulo Olarte.

Paulo arrives to the tropic with two devastating tracks, breaking through with hipnotic beats, groove-loaded basses, suprising breaks and abstract melodies, in this minimal-climatic phenomenon called Digital Audio Troipcal archives (D.A.T.A.).

Olarte is originally from Bogota, Colombia, currently resident in Hamburg, and has released several 12″ on German labels such as Liebe*Detail, Fresh Fish and Anorak Tonetraeger.
