On each track, butane playfully incorporates found sounds that include the noisy fan in his bedroom (fanmail), the sound of final scratch 1.5 crashing during a gig (ode to the crash), and fireworks recorded during the 4th of july (ulcer). plus, you get a brilliantly tracky dj tool by gurtz of buenos aires, argentina.

Tomato Thomas was born Thomas Tomato in the spring of 1977. He lived around music and tomatoes all his life. In the year 2000, he left the tomato patch to pursue the musical tomato within him.

There are many faces to Tomato Thomas. There is the, “Rub my tomato skin nice and slow”. There is also the, “It’s getting hot in here, take this skin off.” Thomas is a man hard to pin down.

He is not a tomato. He likes them on sandwiches. Spaghetti is good too. Pizza is great. Bloody Mary drinks are ok, but the vodka has to be right. The many sides of Tomato Thomas.

VoilÓ, “Street Vibes” aus Chicago. Popkan sendet auf dem intoxischen Kanal einen Perkussivrocker namens “Detailed Sketches”, den Darkdubber “Anxiety” und ein himmlisches St³ck Schmusetechno, “Falktord” betitelt.

Irgendwas resoniert hier so sch÷n im Hintergrund vor sich hin und verleiht dem Stuck eine derart harmonische Tiefe, dass es nur noch weniger perkussiver Einlagen bedurfte, bis ich der Magie des Tracks erlag und mir w³nschte, der Track m÷ge, genauso wie dieser Satz, immer und immer wieder eine neue Wendung finden, damit er niemals… Ende.

Monochord presents Contradictions EP: Four tracks combine the rhythm patterns of house music with sounds of 80’s electro in a minimal and playful production.

The first track Contradiction starts in breathtaking manner, building up tension up to a mid song breakdown. The track takes a major turn introducing playful elements of be-bop.

No Question No Answer is characterised by a deep metallic riff over a straightforward beat.

The groovy bassline in Patterns Differences is contributing to the laissez-faire attitude of this track. Sinuous Pattern One is the most minimal production of the EP: A playful and highly rhythmic track.
