Back in its minimal techno days for a new release, Edensonic is proud to gather in this EP two of the most promising talents of this genres.

Pablo Akaros has emerged in the netlabel scene signing one of his first releases on the well known Karmarouge house. His sharp and groovy minmal techno make with no doubt a producer to follow. The easiest way to demonstrate that is to listen to the three tracks of the EP, and among them Mirko Punto with its peaktime break!.

Jesse Somfay comes again on Edensonic with one of his long length and deep remixes. After having made him a respected name in music with his releases on Traum and Archipel, he has rencently been seen as cover-designer for James Holden’s Border Community. Here, his interpretation of Mikro Punto shows all Jesse’s talent to make a groovy but still very original and melancholic track.

Karma es el esperado EP debut de Claudio en Ouzo, y es tambien el redondeo de una etapa en la produccion de este artista, ya que las cinco pistas contenidas en este album estaban presentes ya hace un tiempo en sus live sets, sin haber sido editadas en formato album.

Con influencias del minimalismo mas clasico y muchisimos detalles de produccion, los temas se desarrollan en varios planos al mismo tiempo, con una profusa utilizacion del reverb que situa los distintos sonidos en diferentes espacios fisicos.

In addition to a few largely unknown artists from the electronic music scene, Goosehound’s compilation also presents some familiar artists already featured on minlove within the past months. The first track, ‘Very Vrey Whales’, is a collaboration between Tokyo resident Ditch and Goosehound cofounder Nicholas Sauser. After communicating ideas and sharing demos for some time, the two began working on music together. ‘Very Vrey Whales’ is just one example of their thick, bouncing dance floor creations.

‘Noctiluca Falls’ was crafted by the duo known as Pocket Pet, comprised of New York’s David Last and Osaka’s Segeke. Noctiluca is a perfect sampler of the bouncy, futuristic dub techno that will be found on the group’s upcoming WeSendIt EP. Next up, we change the tempo a bit to present you with an incredibly lush tune by Morgan Packard. Think of ‘Green’ as a great slumbering beast with a snoreyou can move to.

Goosehound pals Wolf and Lamb provide the second song, ‘Any Day Now’, which was given the remix treatment by Konrad Schierling. Schierling has turned the track into a stomping, bleepy affair complimented by odd vocal meanderings.

Nicholas Sauser closes out the compilation with a stripped down groove entitled ‘Of All Of These’. Simplicity is the focus here, but the sound is still full with it’s growling bass and scratchy vocal hooks.

Before the computer was even known to common households, certain sharing networks already existed. At that time Titta was already thinking about how gorgeous can be to touch and play some good old vinyl record.

When Philips introduced the compact audio cassette, blank cassettes were sold in incredible numbers. Their reusability, and the option to record music onto them, made cassette tapes the easiest way to copy, save and share music with friends.

After that music had definitively changed. Some people argue that it was around this time, in which people could record and mix themselves, that crossover music was born.

The record starts with dark atmospheres expressed by first track “we have to change the club” that sounds almost like a suggestion. With “forgive u s” the rhythm become deeper and melodies go under hypnotic frames. “go on” has already been chosen as a naughty alcoholic hymn, perfect for whistling sessions while taking a shower. Somebody from the crew told us that is great to sing it during a never ending journey in skyscraper’s elevator. Last track is a gift to all the freezing pets of the world. “the dog is freezing”…listen and warm up!.

Nowadays music has become a digital fluid, an instrument of cross-fertilization between media, genres, cultures, arts and sounds, supporting the intrinsic idea that the free flow of information results in better products.

Toni 01 is an expression of that change. Titta’s definition of crossover music transplanted in the astonishing kingdom of electronic music.
