Tomato Thomas was born Thomas Tomato in the spring of 1977. He lived around music and tomatoes all his life. In the year 2000, he left the tomato patch to pursue the musical tomato within him.

There are many faces to Tomato Thomas. There is the, “Rub my tomato skin nice and slow”. There is also the, “It’s getting hot in here, take this skin off.” Thomas is a man hard to pin down.

He is not a tomato. He likes them on sandwiches. Spaghetti is good too. Pizza is great. Bloody Mary drinks are ok, but the vodka has to be right. The many sides of Tomato Thomas.

Vivo en Santiago de Chile. Comence en la musica con una banda de indie-rock para luego experimentar en otros ambitos del sonido. Por esto creo que la musica no se encasilla en estilos, sino que hay una intencion detras. Con lo cual una banda de punk-rock podria estar en la misma linea que una persona con un laptop.

Me interesa que el trabajo que hago tenga las cualidades de la musica hecha en vivo, aceptando la posibilidad de errores o factores de azar, los cuales son procesados e integrados posteriormente en la composicion final, en un proceso de construccion y deconstruccipn de los sonidos, cercano al reciclaje. Las pistas funcionan como una
progresion, desde sonidos simples y repetitivos a estructuras propias de la pista de baile.

Quiero que mi musica sea posible de escuchar tanto en un club, como en el living de una casa.
