phonon - mindset (hi018)

Netlabel: www.heavy-industries.net
Style: techno
Phonon, the first artist that joined Heavy Industries, might be the last to have his own release, but that’s quite alright - this is one seriously sick, twisted and psychedelic romp through the world of techno and well worth the wait.
Mindset is composed of three distinct tracks - Translator, Databass and Mindset - though they are all inseparable from each other and were originally recorded in one extended mix. We have cut them up for the convenience of DJ’s, but we highly recommend getting all 3 and playing them continuously.
Although this material dates back to 2001 it has not aged in the slightest, and if anything just goes to show how watererd down and “safe” the techno world has become since that time. Hard, fast, funky, and ridiculously creative, this is exactly why Heavy Industires was formed in the first place and we cannot describe how happy we are to finally get this music out to the world.

sebastian herre - raum & rausch (nlmx002)

Netlabel: www.nightlight-music.com
Style: house, minimal house, technohouse
Nightlight is proud to bring music by Sebastian Herre, owner of the mighty Produkt Schallplatten! Sebastian is a hard worker, spreading the word of quality minimal house and techno on his own label as well as many other quality imprints such as Topaz, Safari Electronique, and Gastspiel. Raum & Rausch is made up of three amazing tech-house tracks, each with their own unique vibe.
Waadt is a relentless and pensive machine, driven by haunting pads and synths. Grand Val is a more organic, bongo-driven housey affair, perfect for the Summer months ahead! Balkan Table Savoury is the most emtional track on the EP. Herre couples steady drums and melencholy synthwork here, making for a beautiful deep techno cut.
Our close friend from Winnipeg, Produkt artist and Archipel A&R, Süz provides a splendid rework of Grand Val, seemingly rooted in old standards of House music, but with her signature forward-thinking production ethic making it a timeless deep tech gem. She is one of the best producers in Canada and Nightlight is quite lucky to work with her on this record.
Clint Stewart is a newcomer to production, but has been putting in serious work as a dj, promoter and graphic designer here in San Francisco, and is part of the Auralism, Nightlight and Bureau crews. He gives Balkan Table Savoury a darker techno twist, perfectly rounding out this diverse release.
Supported by: Dan Curtin, Mateo Murphy, DJ Chloe, Mazi, Q-Burns Abstract Message, Phonogenic, Jeff Milligan, Maetrik, Kenneth Scott and more!

va - i love offaudio (part 3) (offaudio052)

Netlabel: www.offaudio.com
Style: techno

the bee - guns n flowers (sr019)

Netlabel: www.survivalrecords.org
Style: techno, hardtech
In our new release The Bee will make the folks happy with a discursive, hardtechno. The first track (”Drum Mechanik”) committed to its title plays with brutal kicks, and from each other pushed away drumlines, schranz-like soundings, and then with an amazing electro bassline.
Maybe, the next “Euphoria” is flying away from the reality a lots better, it constrains it’s darkness and brutality into your mind, and you must fly away with it’s pulsating bass. The third is pushing you into a harder situation (”Hard Situation”), with a stronger theme, with a washed-up sounding, marching, destroying.
And if we are at the titles, the fourth has to paralyze you, but i promise it will not - on the contrary - it will move you. Flapping, destroying, droidity, and terminating. And now we are at the final machine-music what will awaken to its self-sufficient life, and will destroy our World (Skynet Pictures). Summa, we got an excellent hardtechno EP in our hands, so let’s go, everybody, download it!
