Buenas, vuelve Pozitron Records con su tercera referencia, recordad que conocimos este netlabel gracias al trabajo del argentino Damian Otero y con este ep repiten nacionalidad pero esta vez el protagonista es muy diferente, una chica!, algo que no debería de ser noticia pero desgraciadamente se ve tan poco que hay que resaltarlo. Amparo Battagia, 19 años, comienza su andadura en la música y se presenta con Sawtooth, un ep con 3 canciones electro en el que pueden apreciarse, entre otras cosas, influencias en artistas muy populares como el propio Roman Flugel.

With only 19 years, amparo battaglia produces electronic music mixing electro with techno and house. She is also actively experimenting with minimal, ambient, trance, dub and hip hop.

Her main working tools are the oftwares reason, cubase and soundforge, while also getting into samplers and other midi instruments. Studying electronic music in sonica school since 2006, she is now about to start 2nd year of the “electronic music carreer”, having also done a dj course in 2006 in the same school.

Mainly influenced by the chemical brothers, sebastien leger and the prodigy, she is excursioning through all the different existing electonic sounds, developing her one particular style and brand. In december 2006 she performed live as a dj for the first time in front of 2000 people. Nowadays she has around 25 finished tracks and she is living in buenos aires, argentina, currentrly working on new releases.

The original Plastic Machine version took us by storm when we heard it. The melodic bass and synth lines, super sharp drums and atmospheres are not to be missed.

Equitant’s remix brings it down hard with a very aggressive take on the track. This one will have you bangin your fist in the air with it’ hard beat and variations on the synth sounds.

Leggo’s Danger on the Road mix shakes it out with a nice hard break beat and acid style synth. Sevenfive gives as a little more room to breath with his twisted breaks and subdued bass line. This mix almost borders with a bit of an IDM feel but still very much in the electro realm.

We couldn’t close the 2006 evil-dog’s cycle without a very special release!

So here it is! The long awaited first release of Adriano Canzian on Sweet Smelling Surfaces if finally available. It was pretty hectic to combine all the pieces together but we made it, backed by popular demand, and f***k! we are pretty proud of it.

‘The Figuration Of Trans EP’ is considered as the evil twin of the ‘Transfiguration’ 12inches wax single release earlier this year by the moustache-d guy David Carretta on hiw own label Space Factory, based in Marseille (France).

This new trans-combination proposes two new versions of ‘Transfiguration’ that were composed by Adriano Canzian plus two SSS exclusive remixes by Tampopo and Mihai Popoviciu. This new SSS project was another opportunity to work in close collaboration with a visual artist, Kinki Texas, an artist extraordinaire discovered somewhere on the internet, who gave us immediately the right to use one of his numerous astounding paintings!
