Lo-Fi Rockers bio:

As early as childhood, he became interested in electronic and computer music, using sound editors softwares and virtual sequencers. With time, this habit would eventually lead him into musical studies. Electronic technician, computer and sound specialist, with superior knowledge in mastering, Sergio F. Gonzalez, a.k.a. Lo-Fi Rockers, has pursued a musical career focusing on electronic music with clear influences from house, funk, rock, electro, minimal, punk, disco, synth-pop and new wave.

He has participated in many projects with ample differences in style; drummer for the ex-band K.D.P., as well as programmer of the former group ADES. This self-taught musician has always stirred up great curiosity in the musical environment. In 1998 he discovered house rhythms and began dedicating himself to the turntables and the creation of sets orientated to different floors, launching into bold and daring sounds.

His exquisite musical selection, refined techniques, naturalness and elegance result in a unique affinity with the dance floor. As a disc jockey and using the alias ´Assia Dj´, many producers such as Illusion-inc. (Sevilla), E-vident (Huelva) and Grasscatch (Málaga), of which he has worked with on numerous occasions, opted to hire him during his initial period as a Dj. Subsequently, he participated in the creation of the production company Latinloops.com, which he collaborated with V.rtoz and R.marinelli.

Under the pseudonym ´Analogic Funk Tools´ he creates purer tracks, working with a wide range of different musicians, mixing electronic, funk, jazz, disco and rare grooves. At the present time he lives in Madrid, and keeps dedicating a great deal of his time and energies to develope himself as a producer.

Que martes más movidito!, después de las Pascuas todo vuelve a la normalidad y, como suele ser habitual a primeros de mes, los netlabels se ponen las pilas para ofrecernos su mejor cara. En esta ocasión estoy especialmente contento por poder anunciar de nuevo un trabajo de John Lagora, artista al que conocéis por sus trabajos en Zimmer, Rumpfunk y como no Alquimia, que me toca más de cerca.

Siguiendo la línea de “Avian Flu” pero esta vez más minimalista, Lagora nos regala 4 canciones en donde de nuevo hace gala de su creatividad, siempre cuidando de manera exquisita todos los detalles, hasta conseguir un sonido propio y reconocible, que para mi es de lo más original que podemos encontrar hoy en día en este microcosmos de música gratuita llamado netlabel.

Alquimia es un nuevo proyecto. Cuando descubrí a John Lagora de inmediato quedé fascinado por su música, tanto que pensé “si algún día consigo montar un netlabel él tiene que estar presente”.

Para mi Lagora es uno de los mejores músicos que podemos encontrar actualmente en los netlabels, no sólo por la calidad de su trabajo, el inmejorable sonido de sus producciones o la versatilidad con la que se mueve en los diferentes géneros que interpreta, sino porque además es capaz de construir un estilo propio, ecléctico e inclasificable que le diferencia de todos los demás.

Hasta ahora conocemos su cara más electrónica con excelentes lanzamientos para “Rumpfunk” o “Zimmer Recordings” y con este ep vamos a descubrir a un nuevo John Lagora, con un estilo mucho más bailable y agresivo pero sin perder la esencia.

Alquimia is a new project. When I discovered John Lagora, I was immediately fascinated by his music, so much that I thought: “if some day I have a netlabel he has to be present”.

Lagora is, for me, one of the best musicians that we can find in netlabels at present, not only for the quality of his work, the perfect sound of his productions or the versatility that allows him to move in the different genres that he interprets, but because of his capablility to construct a proper, eclectic and unclassifiable style that makes him stand out from all the rest.

Until now, we know his electronic side. With excellent releases on “Rumpfunk” or “Zimmer Recordings”, and now with this ep we will discover a new John Lagora, with a more dance, aggressive style, but without losing his essence.

Lovelychords es algo como un pequeño colectivo de internautas con base en Argentina, dedicado al electro disco obsesivo. Originalmente los productores argentinos fash y Martín Rotaveria aka premini iniciaron el proyecto llamado lovelychords.

Poco después, pasado un año, se vio ampliado cuando Fash conoció a Age en la comunidad virtual del soulseek y decidieron trabajar juntos.
