Sound is nothing more but air in motion. This can be measured, recorded, explained, understood. To examine the emotions and feelings that the sound causes within the listener, seems a whole lot more complicated.

Equipped with sensitive antennae and mathematical ingenuity Sudio goes to work both curiously and intrepidly. Layer for layer he scans the sound, resolves moods via Fourier analysis into emotional oscillations, abstracts flows into functions, elicts causalities by means of recursive processes to finally state the algorithms of techdub and electro. Extasy in numbers.

On his already third ep on iD.EOLOGY, Sudio sticks to his scientific modus operandi while the focus of his studies has changed a wee bit in the meantime. Kicking beats and harsh noise-elements meet harmonic pads and melodic fragments, suck the listener out of his body, make him experience his physicalness and take him with them on an expedition into the nature of sound.

Buenas!, llevaban ya 2 lanzamientos pero les acabo de conocer con este trabajo de Ludovic. Desde Ucrania Deeplimit es un proyecto fundado con la intención en ofrecer deep techno, microhouse y algunas cosas más experimentales, según cuentan en su info.

El primer track me ha gustado bastante, una idea bien desarrollada con un vocal que me encanta, un track con emoción que me recordó a la buena época del progressive house, allá por el 2001, estilo que prácticamente ha desaparecido hoy en día con el boom del electro y el sonido más minimalista a posteriori.

Los otros 2 temas son un rollo totalmente diferente, que ya tenemos más visto aquí en el blog, aunque “tools for fools” también me parece un buen corte.

After his first track “Total Confusion” released on the various artist ep Level eins.2 ( ALW010), Matthias Korr is back with his first solo EP on auflegware. The artist presents pure conceptual sound , that invite the listeners to go on a journey through space and time.

Atmosphäric & melodic sound patterns are mixed up with memorable basslines , without losing the focus on the Dancefloor. “Controlling” and “Stratosphäre” are the first projects of Matthias - results out of an experimental time of the artist.

Desde pequeño ya trasteaba con los primeros ordenadores y los trackers, el frikismo se vió recompensado con su primera mesa de mezclas y los platos “de correa”, empezó a reunirse con sintetizadores retros y a destrozarlos en su investigación sonora, Moog Prodigy, Dx7, etc… Realizó bastantes directos de música experimental, iniciandose en el mundo de la programación en entornos de csound y maxmsp, sin abandonar sus sesiones a los platos mas duras, luchando con los primeros Downwards y Tresor.

Empieza a trabajar para una famosa tienda de música, donde tiene la oportunidad de conocer a otros freaks, y se adentra en el mundo del electro pop. Recorriendo los clubes de Madrid, radios y revistas especializadas, conoce a Lucho Prosper (Oviformia SCI, Heroica). Empiezan a formar un equipo perfecto de ideas electrónicas y artísticas, componiendo, produciendo y colaborando con otros grupos como Fangoria, Pinup909, Lantana, Roma, Gamma People,.. Actualmente acaba de producir el segundo álbum de Roberta Marrero, “Claroscuro”.

Dirige un programa de música electrónica en la radio, “Pato Mecánico” de Radio Círculo (100.4fm) los viernes y sábados de 23;00 a 00;00, y compagina su trabajo en la tienda con la creación musical. Sus influencias son como para mucha gente la vieja escuela, Kraftwerk, John Fox, Klaus Schulze, Cavaret Voltaire, etc… y sellos como Warp, Mille Plateaux, Tresor, Downwards e Underground Resistance.

Buenas, esta reléase lleva dando vueltas por mi disco duro prácticamente una semana y hasta hoy no me decidí a añadirla. Si bien los 2 primeros tracks me gustan bastante, el tercero y el cuarto (por su estilo) podría decir que van en contra de mi religión jajajaja, pero a pesar de esto creo que finalmente compensa el compartirla con vosotros.
Por último, para ser justo, quiero hacer referencia al magnífico sonido que tienen las 4 canciones, un gran mastering, cristalino, de calidad.

L17 has a summer feel with its deep bass, dubby effects & and delayed vocal snippets. Fetish on the other side drives a deeper way, west coast influenced, with the percussion keeping the pace and the deep male vocals, Xerxes style, showing the way. Linny Berret finishes off the pack, on a housier tone, with ‘Deeper Luv’, a basic track with a 4 on the floor old-skool tempo and a fluffy bassline complete with subtle vocals and an exotic melody.
