After a lengthy pause, this octal annual release brings joy and happiness to all. With his skillful production, Kalope brings us another not-so-dark release. This selection of aquatic-themed joyful tracks is a sure summer hit.

This short and infectious ep is a more housey affair for these sun-filled chilled Ibiza mornings. After a mesmerizing ambient opening, In deep sea expedition continues with majestic and deep-influenced spliced chords. It’s a deeper exploration of the photic zone. This tom-driven track sees some resemblance to earlier Kalope tracks with its sampled vocals, but reinvents itself with a more complex and playful rhodes theme. Building its groove with shifting chords and echoing flutters, it goes deeper preparing us the next menacing encounters.

Jumping us like a jellyfish in open water, the Droog experience begins. Building its groove around the original reinvented chord progression, it continously explores the depths of original tune. Like a colourful discomedusae, Droog wobbles around like a true deep house chap he is. With its clever reenactment of the main theme with a little touch of reverberation this track builds itself to the high-pitched plucked climax. Like any good track, it abruptly ends this ep. We have to present a new artist, now straight from Poland. His four tracked EP is flying on the plains of minimal, electronica, dub, and it is not a downflying… The first and the second song, (Everything is Mine, Too Soon) is making feelings inside me, that i can listen to it for ever, beautiful pads, perfect 4/4 rythm, and unbelievable diversified minimalism, and you really believe that’s everythings him, and for real everything is him.. everything :).

If i need to compare with somebody then i compare him to Swayzak, but i don’t want to compare, because he is else, he is.. He.. Simoltaneously sad, however delactating.

I can’t characterize.. I can’t write it down with words. And it is not the end! The third (If I Were You) repetitive synththeme, a real love-confession, it’s dubby bass, is taking you away, you have to dance, round’n’round… for the eternity.. i can’t believe it. Beautiful. The fourth (First Look) maybe have a little contrast from the others, beacuse it’s a little faster, and have electro synttheme, and subbbasses. I’m so proud….

Is the musical initiative of chilean producer Ricardo Cárdenas. His project began in 2006 at the time of the inauguration of his recording studio and marked his first incursions into the realm of electronic music.

Experimenting with rhythms, colors, timbres and creating ambient textures, dance beats and minimalist explorations enable him to freely and intuitively generate his own sound and style. In this way he achieves emotional tracks that are meditative and danceable, fundamental aspects of the alchemy of Sound Sculpture Project.

In 2006 his first track was published in “Aural perceptions”, a compilation produced by the independent label Sursumcorda, along with other musicians such as: Dave Wasley (USA), Marcos Romero (Uruguay), among others.

Later, in 2007, Parafuso-music (Spanish netlabel) published his first solo album “Polaris EP”.
